Energy management in both industries or residential complexes is a critical aspect in today’s sustainability driven world. With the advent of IoT, this can be streamlined & data driven, leading to both energy & cost savings for enterprises & smart cities.With the smart metering methodology, product collects data through MODBUS RTU protocol and sends it to the Gateway using LoRaWAN ® thus converting MODBUS to LoRaWAN®. This replaces the traditional wired approach of sending energy meter data to the centralized server. The data collected at server helps to track, monitor in real time and manage energy resulting in reduced operational cost.This MODBUS to LoRaWAN® convertor is compatible with most of the energy meters.  It allows easy installation and configuration as per custom requirement and takes input from RS485 half-duplex device (also supports full duplex). The configuration of the device is done through keypad and LED display provided on the front panel. MODBUS Gateway IAN 1.0 product converts MODBUS to LoRaWAN ® and hence replaces the wired approach of sending energy meter data to the centralized server. The device collects data through MODBUS RTU protocol and sends it to the Gateway using LoRaWAN ®, a modulation technology that enables long range communication. IAN - 1 allows easy installation and configuration as per custom requirement and takes input from RS485 half-duplex device (also supports full duplex). The configuration of the device is done through keypad and LED display provided on the front panel.
